Stqarrija Stampa 18.01.2018
Awturi jisħaq li mhuwiex suffiċjenti li jiġi ppubblikat il-kuntratt mal-Vitals Global Healthcare wara li jinbiegħ it-tender lil Steward Healthcare. F’dan l-istadju, ikun tard wisq biex jiġu skrutinizzati l-klawżoli tal-kuntratt u l-proċess ta’ kif sar il-bejgħ oriġinali lil VGH.
L-għaqda żżomm mal-ewwel stqarrija li ħarġet fejn talbet lil Ministru Chris Fearne li ssir inkjesta fil-bejgħ tal-isptarijiet mal-Vitals Global Healthcare. Din l-inkjesta għandha ssir mill-aktar ħin fis u sadanittant jitwaqqaf il-proċess għall-bejgħ tat-tender lil Steward Healthcare.
Ladarba flejjes kbar u assi importanti nazzjonali qegħdin jiġu trasferiti, hemm bżonn fundamentali ta’ skrutinju neċessarju, trasparenza, u rieda tajba min-naħa tal-Gvern. Il-bejgħ huwa serjament nieqes minn dawn il-karatteristiċi.

Press Release 18.01.2018
Awturi believes that it is too little too late for the Vitals Global Healthcare contract to be published after the tender is sold to Steward Healthcare. At that stage, it will be too late for the clauses and the sale of the original agreement to VGH to be scrutinised.
This activist group stands by its first statement in which it asked Minister Chris Fearne to launch an inquiry into the sale of hospitals to Vitals Global Healthcare. This inquiry must be held as soon as possible and in the meantime, the process of the sale of tender to Steward Healthcare should be frozen.
Once millions of taxpayer money and important national assets are involved in the sale, there is a fundamental necessity for scrutiny, transparency and good faith on the part of the Government. The sale is currently seriously lacking in these aspects.
